- Knowing the essence of a strong foundation, Mrs. Nartana Karthikeyan proves to be a distinguished academician with a Doctorate in Educational Psychology, M.Phil. in Abnormal Psychology and Behavioral Research and Masters in English, Masters in Guidance and Counselling, Masters in Criminology, MBA in Education Management, MFA in Folklore, MA and TTC in Bharatham.
- She strongly believes that education is the essential tool that can bring about change in the society and all her endeavors are oriented in helping education reach out to deprived class of the social strata like the drop out kids of slum area, kids with special needs, destitute children, eunuchs and so on.
ABLE ADMINISTRATOR AND LEADER
- Being a visionary and an able leader she juggles various roles with ease and efficiency. She is the Former Director and Principal of KRM Special School, Chennai; Former Director of KRM Kshetra of Performing Arts, Evening College, Chennai and the Former Director of Brainguru, India.
- She’s the Founder and Managing Trustee of “SHRRADHA”, a Public Charitable Trust, and also the Founder and Artistic Director of “Centre of Research and Training Indian Art and Culture (CRTIAC)”.
- She is also an eminent member of ABHAI (Association of Bharatanatyam Artistes of India).

SOCIAL ACTIVIST
- She was one of the unhesitating volunteers who worked as part of the team that took rescue operations of dead bodies in the Tsunami hit Tamilnadu in the year 2004.
- She, along with her students were among the first few who braved to reach out to the victims of Vardah Cyclone, 2016 and initiate the rescue operations and provide relief materials too. They were later joined hands by the Rotary Club, Coimbatore.
- She was the first young lady (then aged at 21yrs), to motivate and bring along the transgenders together and get them recognized by getting them admission in schools, get names enrolled in ration cards and get access to public toilets. She has done an extensive research on eunuchs and works her way for their progress with a systematic approach.
- She was the first to organize a marathon on 14th November, 2016; the first of its kind where she brought together special schools in Tamilnadu and organized the marathon with participants and heroes of the event being 540 special children along with 120 staff, 130 parents and 20 volunteers making it a huge success in bringing about awareness among common people on how toxins through plastic can get into our body systems and bring about defects while birth.
- Being an environmentalist who strictly follows no-plastic lifestyle even years before the plastic ban came into act, it’s her mighty effort and achievement to make her KRM Special School an eco-friendly, no-plastics school.
- Dance has always led Mrs.Nartana to victory since her early attempts in school and college level competitions and her performances during her professional career has brought her great acclaim. She aptly utilized her talent to channelize funds for the welfare of the needy by organizing charity shows under the title “Moving our legs to move their lives” starting from the year 2000. Beneficiaries of the charity show were CSW (Commercial Sex Workers), eunuchs, HIV infected and affected people, cancer patients, visually and physically challenged people and beggars. The funds from the charity show are utilized to provide vocational courses training for the above-mentioned beneficiaries so that they live a life with dignity and self-respect. The year 2010’s charity show was conducted for the “Destitute children” at German hall and was honored by the then Tamilnadu Mayor Mr. M. Subramanyam
- Her love for pets knows no bounds and the trust Shraddha ensures to provide home for the stray dogs, provide vaccinations and sterilize the pet after it delivers two puppies.
- Being an educational psychologist, she understands the importance of grooming adolescents to responsible youth by counselling them and giving them guidance and hands on training and roping them into social activities, thereby helping them evolve as responsible citizens.
EMINENT DANCER
- She performed in the Cultural Festival organised by Soviet Culture Centre to promote Indian Culture.
- She has represented Tamilnadu with a capturing Bharatanatyam performance in Indo-Pakistan Peace Conference at Jalandhar.
- She has represented Tamilnadu with a Bharatanatyam performance in NYP for the year 2009 at Goa.
- She succeeded in securing the first place in the University level, State Level and National Level.
- Nartana started to work on her objective, by combining the lessons she had learnt from her Gurus and her knowledge of the cognate forms of art, harnessing it to a scholastic approach and holistic vision in order to develop individuality. In that way her own production of Dance Dramas, Dushyandhan – Sagunthalai, Sri Durga, Ravaneshwaran and Sri Arunagirinadhar gave her a storm hit.
