MAY DAY..

HONOURING THE GREAT PEOPLES IN THE SOCIETY…..

International Labors Day, also known as May Day, is a federal holiday that outlines the hurdles laborers have faced on a day-to-day basis. Countries such as India, Cuba, China, and others observe this day of conducting protests for workers’ rights and saving them from exploitation.

At Shrradha Trust, we uniquely celebrated this year’s Labors day by helping laborers and acknowledging them. Providing food and cash prizes was just a fraction of the big picture. By going through our blog, find out more about this remarkable event. We’re sure that it will inspire you.

We appreciated and honored many laborers on this auspicious day.  Laborers work tirelessly beyond their age limit to provide for their families

Often they are ill-treated and unrecognized. Unfortunately, laborers working on projects, such as sewage cleaniners, Toilet cleaners,

Garbage Cleaners
Cobblers
Street Vendors
Hawkers
Tea Stall Owners
Iron Shop Owners
Coolie workers

They all are treated as inferior. Most people believe that only a shameful person would perform such a job. We often fail to show gratitude towards the laborers for keeping us and our cities clean and safe.  These laborers work beyond their time limits without any hesitation, which is why we honored them. We did this to manifest our appreciation for them in society. We can’t imagine a world without them. Even though they don’t expect any returns from us, we have to thank them. Moreover, acknowledging them is the last thing that we can provide them. They would be so delighted to see us recognize them for the work that they performed.

At shrradha trust, we had the idea to honor these amazing people. For this appreciation program, we selected a few people and personally met them. We appreciated them by giving them medals, provided food for them, and awarded them a cash prize of Rs 1,000. At Shrradha trust, our aim and happiness were to see the glee on their faces. This day should be memorable, one they should be eagerly waiting for throughout their lives. No matter what, we can’t do the work they do, not even for a day. We can’t even spend so much time on the work they do. Their dedication to their field of work should be very much appreciated. Furthermore, the exploitation and harassment of these workers should stop.

There is no issue if we did not honor them, but we shouldn’t discriminate against them and make them feel disgusted about themselves. Most of the citizens make faces at them, but it is wrong. In this case, we performed these kinds of actions since it would make them feel excited. They would feel proud about the things they were doing. They did not expect any form of recognition, but they did not want us to ignore them as well. We instilled in them a sense of pride and denounced abhorrence. We have created an unequal society for laborers, and this needs to change. During this program, the look on their faces was priceless and made us feel happy for making them feel great about themselves.

No matter what job we perform, we’re still humans. And this discrimination based on the job that we do should not be there. So we at Shraddha Trust tried to work for a better future where this sort of discrimination doesn’t happen. We arrayed this event for the equality of these great laborers. We have to admire these laborers for their hard work, determination, and dedication. Not anyone can perform this job. Labors Day has to concede every day and not only on the first of May. It would make our country a better place for these laborers. Hopefully, in the future, these laborers are recognized and treated equally.
