To set a stage in inspiring young minds to come forward to volunteer and also let them know that even a single act of kindness will never go unnoticed, Shrradha takes immense pride in introduce one of the trustee member; Ms. Sadhana Ravichandran who have set an example in doing their bit for empowering the society in their own ways and been the backbone of Shrradha Charitable Trust through their selfless actions.
So here we have a piece of inspiration by taking you through Ms. Sadhana’s volunteering journey, know about her volunteering journey.
A double degree holder and a trained classical dancer Ms. Sadhana worked in KRM School for Special Children as a Educational and dance teacher located in Perambur. She is a dedicated volunteer who has taken up volunteerism on a serious note. Owing gratitude to her dance Guru, Smt.Sivanarulchelvi A.G. Nartana Karthikeyan, Ms. Sadhana clearly says that her Guru is her role model and motivator who has helped her get into volunteering. She reminisces on how her association with her Guru started as a mere dance student which later grew in shaping her to a better human being by living life with a purpose.
1.Some of her Memorable moments in volunteering journey would be: Her very first volunteering endeavour was when she performed on stage along with her peers at German Hall as part of a charity show raising fund for HIV affected students. She says the joy and contentment that she experienced that day gave meaning to her life and that is exactly what sparked in her to take volunteering on a serious note. From then on, volunteering has become part and parcel of her life and there is no looking back.
2. Right from helping in events organised for visually challenged people to adopting a child’s education for one year; small or big, she says act of kindness matters and holds immense value.
3. She was instantly on toes when she realised, she was in a better position to help the victims stranded in areas flooded by Vardah cyclone in the year 2016.
4. On may 1st 2018, as a part of labours day celebration, she with her team recognised the hardworkers of everyday life with medals and foods who generally go unnoticed.
5. On behalf of Shrradha, she and her peers organised an workshop for underpriviledged children about the summer season and some tips to be followed in summer.
Ms. Sadhana’s dreams are big, her thoughts nobler and her efforts are mightier enough to make her dream of making education available for every kid come true in the years to come. She also has soft corner for pet animals and spends time taking care of stray dogs and feeding other animals too at her leisure.
She is like any other girl found next door but her deeds make her stand apart. She insists that many youngsters come out of their comfort zone and have a look at their own society and see in what way they can help it get better. She also assures that volunteering can be fun and can become your favourite weekend hangout plan if only you give it a try once along with your friends and family.
